Nothing will give you white knuckles like a downhill run with squishy brakes. Now with our emergency bleed kit you can bleed your levers any time, any place.

CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminium, this emergency bleed kit holds enough brake fluid to completely fill two brake levers, and we’ve used specialty o-rings to ensure it’s compatible with both DOT and mineral oil (though you should absolutely not switch between the two!)

The M5 connector is the same type you’ll find on your home bleed kit and is compatible with both Shimano and SRAM MTB levers* plus the kit includes H2.5 and T10 keys so you’ll have the tools on hand to crack into your brakes’ bleed port. If you're running Magura, Tektro / TRP, or Shimano road levers then you'll need to grab one of our easy-to-use adapters.

*Except for SRAM’s DB mineral oil brakes, which use a different thread.

To use the bleed kit, just fill with your preferred brake fluid and throw it in your riding grab-bag. When you feel your brakes start to get a bit squishy you can simply screw the bottle into your brake lever’s bleed port, unscrew the top cap, and give your lever a few flicks until the air stops bubbling through. You can find a full set of instructions here, or if a video is more your scene then we recommend checking out this great how-to from Bikepacking.com

We've also just added two colour options for those carrying multiple kits - now there's an easy way to differentiate between your dot-filled and oil-filled bleed kits (we remember ours as Silver for Shimano, but you can choose whichever colour and mnemonic works for you).
